I am a huge fan of pakistani comedy stage shows and of umar sharif and shakeel siddiqui. I was just downloading their shows from youtube and found out that shakeel siddiqui was beaten up by Nationalist/fundamentalist Indian. These Indians are those who would not do anything for the country but beat up those who say a word against the country. I am not saying that what he(shakeel) did was right but I am saying that if he deserves that then these people also deserves the same:

I have been at home for 2 months now. This time I got so bored as all my cousins are working now and there was nothing for time pass except movies which I have seen 100 times :|. But now as I have to go back and complete my work, Im already having a homesick feeling. With this feeling I realized that I miss last year's masti in inter-IIT although I was little bored even there too (after the competition obviously :P) And I miss my Ist year masti too but it was not as awesome as DU's masti. What the hell is with the media??? Once tendulkar score 200 in an ODI and they chatter about it on a FRONT page for a WEEK!!(I myself appreciate that inning). But when our only ODI world cup winning captain, who lead the team from no one, nothing, nothing at all(with beating westindies twice, who won the last two/first two world cups) to winning the world cup, gets an honour to be inducted into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame, this media puts this news nowhere. I got the news from cricinfo whose owner is not an indian any more.It's even there on BBC. If they talk so much about tendulkar and his innings(which Im saying again that I appreciat), they should atleast put this great man in news for once. This man and his team is reason that cricket is so popular in india and also much more popular than hockey(which is our national sports). This media rather put shahrukh khan in news for doing a song with akon than put Kapil Dev's honour there.

Masand rated invictus 3 star, where 2-3 weeks back he rated MNIK 3.5 stars. Just a unbelievable thing to digest. Invictus is on for best actor,Morgan freeman, and best supporting actor,matt damon, in oscars and he rates it 3, I personally ll rate the movie atleast 4. After reading his reviews for both the movies I saw one thing that he is right about Invictus(not totally though) but for MNIK its like he is getting paid to write good about it.

Masand is just thinking that it's difficult to deliver that character that shahrukh played but seeing sharukh's history of acting thats the only thing he is good at and that too not that good. Plus bollywood drama makes it more unrealistic. Kajol is ok.

Invictus

Matt demon's performance is at his best, NO question about it. Except Morgan freeman's accent(which I really cant say anything) may be not upto the mark, but he did gave what he always gives A WORLD CLASS PERFORMANCE. Everyone in the movie was good, felt realistic. Movie ends without any aggression or too high winning spirit(like miracle, replacements, longest yard), which masand was complaining about, Because it was not a ending it was a good start for the country to become ONE. When A team wins a difficult but first match of the world cup they don't start there celebration then, they have a long journey ahead of them.

@masand- Come out of bollywood drama and see what a acting really is. Ask me, I ll suggest you some good names :-).

Ya last friday i had 4 and a half beer. It got crazy as I drank the last beer bottoms up!. It was a party with my weightlifting team. From the starting I was trying not to make them too drunk and in the end I was the one who got drunk actually too drunk as I didn't even remember much from that night after that bottoms up. But I did not drink those beer in one sitting, I had one and a half in the afternoon and then 3 in night. And on the top of that I had not slept the night(thursday night) before that and had practice in the evening(friday evening). So it was sure that I would get drunk very fast.

P.S.: I asked them in how much time I did the bottoms up and they said less than 10 seconds. Shit!!! I should have told them to take the time.

I don't why people generalize IIT'ians. After some interval when reporters don't get any better news they just crib on anyone they find interesting. And sometimes its iit'ians. I don't why???

You will always see in a news that IIT'ians do not support the country or they are all going to US or sometimes news like government is spending so much money on IIT'ians and what the country is getting back. Recently one of my female friend generalized the male IIT'ians in her blog and wrote that they are all bad guys and that they should behave ( Im not going to explain that here, you read yourself http://theverityhunt.blogspot.com/2009/08/non-males-story.html#comments read the comments also).

Now tell me one thing, Do iit'ians have different genes or they belong to some other culture or the only evil ones pass the test. No they are not!!!. IIT'ians are just humans(indians) with better mind in math, physics and chemistry than others. No one teaches us any mean things and we all belong to different type cultures and religion. I am also not saying that IIT'ians are good people, The probability of finding a good or bad guy/girl is same here as outside.

We are just taking any oppurtunity for better future like any other country men. So if many IIT'ians are leaving the country then you should know that other country men will do the same thing. I myself wanna work here in the country but thats my choice.

Sleeping 10-11 hrs a day, not reading anything when I have to submit my first DDP report on 5th august, haven't met my DDP prof in last 3 weeks( and he called 3 times in these 3 weeks), spending money like anything and now I dont have any in my account and on the top of that I have been very irregular to gym( and it's when I like to workout). Have you ever been kicked out of the class??? Yesterday I was. Actually I was reading a novel on which I had a term-paper to submit that day by 4pm. And that too of the same subject(class) I was in. Prof thought I was sleeping and he asked whether I was sleeping or not then I thought if I tell the truth he wouldn't give me marks on the term-paper(it had to be 6 page at least), so I told that I was sleeping and he said please(very politely) get out of the class and do something productive in your room and also said that he will give me attendance for that class. So it wasn't bad as I get to finish the novel peacefully AND I can have my breakfast in mess which I missed because I was getting late for the same class.

P.S: Anyways I didn't finish the novel and cogged the stuff from net and submitted the 6 page term-paper :P

There was a story I read in THE ALCHEMIST about how to find secret of happiness and I find it worth sharing:

"A certain shopkeeper sent his son to learn about the secret of happiness from the wisest man in the world. His son wanders in the desert for forty days and finally reaches the beautiful castle on the of the mountain in which wisest man lived.

When the boy enters the main room room in the castle, instead of the wisest man he saw many people coming and going, an orchestra was playing soft music in the corner and a table covered with the delicious food. The wise man conversed with everyone, and the boy had to wait for 2 hours to meet him.

The wise man listened attentively to the boy's explanation of why he had come, but told him that he didn't have time just to explain and suggested him to look around the palace and return in two hours. Meanwhile i want you to do one thing handing the boy a tea spoon with two drops of oil in it and said 'As you wander around, carry this spoon with you without allowing the oil to spill.'

The boy began climbing and descending the many stairways of the palace, keeping the eye fixed on the spoon. After two hours, he returned to the room where the wise man was.

You will not trust me but i spend more on coffee than on liquor, may be because many times i have coffee in CCD(but the rate of coffees in our campus CCD is very less than the one's outside, almost half). And my best combination is 2 coffee :P

I like to watch movies, actually I love to watch movies. And I like to watch series (like lotr 1, 2&3) and romantic comedies, I have just finished watching Rocky (not all in one go but in last 5-6 days) n I have become a fan of Sylvester Stallone. This guy rocks!!!

He made the rocky character so calm n composed out of the ring n a rock hard guy in the ring, who you can not knock down no matter how strong is your punch because he will take it n stand back. And even after that he will punch you real hard. He is simple and strong. The songs are also great. He gave the series very good ending with rocky balboa.

May be you will say that its just a movie but he worked very hard for the movie, he build his body according to what was needed for the character even at the age of 61. These lines from the movie are really good “If I can change then you can change, everybody can change” and this one when his son was blaming him for his (son’s) failure “The world is not all sunshine n rainbows. It’s a very mean n nasty place. I don’t care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you permanently there if you let it. You Me are no body. Its gonna hit as hard as life. Its not about how hard you get hit, its about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward, how much you can take n keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done. Now If you know what you worth then go out and get what you worth. But you gotta be worth to take the hits and not pointing your fingers and say you are not what you wanna be because of him or her or anybody. Cowards do that and that are not you.”

Do you know that 4th October is celebrated as animals day and also as my birthday :P.

Well every year, like everyone, I wait for friends to come, give me bumps and wish me( after the bumps) . But this year I invited them to ccd( its in our campus) so that I ll postpone the bumps as much as I can and get less bumps from less no. of friends(as most of them have to go because of shaastra or other work), but how could something happen if I have planned that. They all gave me bumps right on time, But my butt is not paining that much as I took the most strongest kicks, obviously from tattu, on my hand(by putting it in between, still paining now). They rubbed the cake on my face, sounds ugly but I liked it because they are my best friends and all of us go through the same procedure :P .

anyways the best part was that every friend was there whom I wanted to be(except arjun who was in hyd and chola, he was really busy and by busy I mean it and one more friend, anyways she was 2200 km away) and except 2-3, every one of them is my BEST friend. People have difficulty finding even 1 but I have 20 best friends and Im not joking and also its not a typing mistake. If someone hugs you and wishes you happy birthday, its the best gift you can get and I got some 30 of them :) . Anand gave me a gift, He wrote with calligraphy pen(few people can write with that)

Well as I am doing intern in greater noida, I have to take two buses with 2 hours of travelling. Yesterday(tuesday, 08/07/2008) I was waiting for the bus at rajnigantha(noida) for almost 30-40 mins(it is not that long but bus service is good and daily i get the bus in 5-6 mins). It was 7:20 pm and I was that wet with the sweat like somebody has thrown a bucket of water on me. And then I saw a DTC bus coming, I don't know what I was thinking, I took that bus. The number of people on that bus was like little red ants on the dead insect. Somehow I got on to that bus. Then i took the ticket. For toll bridge the ticket costs 12 bucks but he took 11, I thought they have decreased it. The worst thing was that more and more people were getting on to that bus and everyone was squeezed like dashheri mango. Everyone was saying ye gol chakker par khali ho jayegi, but it didn't.

And then I thought it will be over in 10-15 mins, lets just adjust. With one hand I was holding myself with a bar and the other was on my pocket ( so that no one can show his great skills). Whenever the bus driver stops the bus at the any bus stop everyone shouted are bus chala le. And then it came to my mind, where am I going? Is it the right bus? somehow I tried to see through the window and found that I got onto to the wrong bus, shit!!!. Then I got down at noida mod and walked for 15 mins to the nearest bus stop. Then waited for the next bus for other 15-20 mins and reached home at 8:45 pm, after leaving BPCL at 5:30 pm.

It's not all. This was just the finishing, before that in office I submitted a report ( which I should have submitted on monday) and my guide striked some 'n' mistakes ( including space and other small mistakes). In the end he said "you are an iitian, you should not do this type of mistakes. I think you are not focussing properly. You are not using even 1% of your brain", even though he was right, in my defencce I just wanna say that I was late I made that in hurry and you read the result :).

This all can happen on one day but now I will tell you what made it a bad day and why all this happened. That day after lunch, the girl I love told me not call her again because she doesn't feel the way (for me) I do for her and said "we are just friends". After that I completed that report, with which you know what happened next and I took the wrong bus, which made my journey(it's more like a journey) back home more than 3 hours.

Young King Arthur was ambushed and imprisoned by the monarch of a neighboring kingdom. The monarch could have killed him but was moved by Arthur's youth and ideals. So, the monarch offered him his freedom, as long as he could answer a very difficult question. Arthur would have a year to figure out the answer and, If after a year, he still had no answer, he would be put to death.The question was: What do women really want?Such a question would perplex even the most knowledgeable man, And to young Arthur, it seemed an impossible query. But, since it was better than death,He accepted the monarch's proposition to have an answer by year's end.

He returned to his kingdom and began to poll everyone: The princess, the priests, the wise men, and even the court jester. He spoke with everyone,but no one could give him a satisfactory answer. Many people advised him to consult the old witch, For only she would have the answer. But the price would be high as the witch was famous throughout the kingdom for the exorbitant prices she charged.

The last day of the year arrived and Arthur had no choice but to talk to the witch. She agreed to answer the question, but he would have to agree to her price first. The old witch wanted to marry Sir Lancelot, The most noble of the Knights of the Round Table, And Arthur's closest friend! Young Arthur was horrified. She was hunch-backed and hideous, had only one tooth, Smelled like sewage, made obscene noises, etc. He had never encountered such a repugnant creature in all his life. He refused to force his friend to marry her and endure such a terrible burden,But Lancelot, having learnt of the proposal, spoke with Arthur. And the beautiful maiden the other half. 'Which would you prefer? She asked him. 'Beautiful during the day ... or at night?' Lancelot pondered the predicament.During the day he could have a beautiful woman to show off to his friends,But at night, in the privacy of his castle, an old witch! 1) There is a witch in every woman no matter how beautiful she is!

Im doing my intern in BPCL RnD, As it is about 30-33 km from my home I have been travelling a lot and AS I don't have a fm in my mobile arbit thoughts come into my mind. Today morning when I was coming, a thought came what if a journalist meets GOD, What will he do? What will he say? Overall what will be his reaction? What if GOD grants him a wish for the good of man kind? What will he ask? From what I am seeing now days, He will ask for a TV interview :), not a wish against terrorism or crime or bad politics or a good wish for poor.

Interviewer: Hello and welcome to our bhagwaan special episode. Khud bhagwaan RAM hamare is show ke liye swarg se dharti par padhare hain. Is se ye pata chalta hai ki hamara ye channel dharti par hi nahi swarg main bhi mashhur hai. To hum aaj ka ye interview chalu karte hain:

Interviewer: Bhagwan aap ko dharti par aake kaisa lag raha hai?

Whenever I see a wine shop in delhi and read these words I find it very different and funny. It gives the picture of "SARKARI RAASHAN KI DUKAAN" for poor people like cheap wine and beer for poor people, by the way alcohol is cheap in delhi not because it's a tourist place but because the consumption of alcohol is much more than any other city. I remember a article in news paper "Dilli main paani se jyada Beer pee jati hai" and I don't know whether it's true or not, but in delhi after 7 pm NO chilled beer and after 8 pm NO beer.

Who could be the laziest man EVER!!?, a guy who is on the edge in his 2 very important things- academics & sports, even then he sleeps late at night(and by late i meant very late) and wakes up tooo late(bunking all the classes). I think I know that person. And that person is ME.

From this semester we have "new"(strict) attendance rules and I started really well. I went to all the classes for Ist 3 weeks and then I lost my enthu or what I don't know but I started bunking so many classes and put GRAND SLAMs in last 2 days. Now I'm on the edge in attendance also. If I don't give G(good-grade) in attendance for the semester the dean will kick me out of the hostel, and that would be worse thing to happen to me in my whole iit life. My calculations says from now on if I go all the classes , I can make G but it will be as hard as putting a 9 point.

When I was in my school I didn't had friends, I was pretty bad at sports, a dumb but quite good student. But now after 3 years in IIT I have so many friends, quite good at sports and not dumb but a very irresponsible student. I don't know why I'm not interested in studies any more. Now I'm attending classes properly and listening to prof, and I'm enjoying it but even now I'm seating here in my room trying to study but feeling sleepy( if I start a movie this sleepyness ll go in a moment), I really don't know what to do. By not studying I have made my future worse and in next 3 years I can over come this and make my future bright, but it's getting very difficult to fight.

I read a line somewhere-"Adversity causes some men to break, others to break records". I think it's time for me to do....
